The gangly, blue-skinned figure stood back against the far back wall of the medical bay. His large black almond eyes blinked, lids closing and opening sideways from the corners of his eyes. His face was round and his mouth long and wide, smooth almost glossy skin with no hair what so ever atop his head. His face was adorned with a series of odd blue and black patterns and he lacked a visible nose. The creature’s ears were small and hardly visible with no exterior lobes, its fingers long and rounded at the tip with no claws or nails to be seen.
“Gentlemen, please! This is a place of healing and rest! I would ask you please refrain from discharging your weapons around the ill!” Dr. Geoff Geen spoke through his synthetic vocalizer. The soft masculine voice came out slow, controlled and dignified, like a true gentleman.
The second security officer kept his eyes firmly planted on the hostile Titaness, who was holding a sharp medical instrument to the blue-clad nurse’s neck. Eyrn was kneeling on the examination table, as Eyrn’s height restricted her from doing so without aid.
“Dr. Geen, we need you to vacate the premises! I won’t ask you again!” The older taller officer turned his attention to the frustrated Dunnermac while his counterpart focused on the hostile.
“I will not abandon my sick bay and my patient to your unrestrained barbarism!” the doctor said, with renewed passion.
The Dunnermac were known for their disdain for conflict and violence. A peaceful aquatic race who had recently been granted full Imperial membership, their advanced cranial structure was unmatched in the known galaxy. They did lack peripheral vision, but their nearsightedness was complimented with near unmatched close range vision.
Eyrn’s breathing intensified as she held the sharp, rounded tool tight against the younger woman’s throat. She was still trying to get a handle on things. One moment she was in the Nevada desert in the dark, with the troops she had grown to know and trust, and the next she was lying face up on a cold metallic surface staring a strange blue fish man in its large black eyes.
Everything looked so strange. Everyone was so big. No — humongous. The woman she was holding hostage, likely some sort of nurse, was a good head taller than she was! The strange elongated blue monster was just a little bit taller than the woman she was holding hostage. It didn’t make sense. There was nobody larger than her, there was nothing living on the earth itself taller than she was!
Eyrn was lost for words. The blue being was speaking strange foreign words to the taller, human looking people, and they responded in a similar tongue.
If there were people her size, why had she never been told? Why was she forced to live in a compound in the arid desert? Where these ‘those dang Russians’ Darren was always grumbling about? Eyrn felt a wash of betrayal and anger as she fought to hold herself together. She didn’t know who they were, what they wanted, what had happened to her comrades. But her fear prevented her from trusting them. All she could think to do was run, hide, get as far away from them as she could until she could figure out what was going on. Her throbbing headache, her churning stomach, it all added to her reservation. The shouting armed men didn’t do much to ease her concern either.
“I’m not going to ask you again! In the name of the emperor you are being apprehended for violation of section 3 of the Terrain protection act! Lower the weapon and present yourself in a surrender stance!” The taller guard yelled as he aimed his disruptor at Eyrn.
“I think I can get a shot!” The smaller guard spoke up, narrowing his eyes.
“I forbid it! Those are oxygen filled cylinders and expensive medical equipment! If you hit one of those this whole deck could be compromised!” Dr. Geen spoke, turning a knob on his synthetic voice box to change the tone of his voice to a more angry tone.
“Dr. Geen, for the last time, you are ordered to vacate this sick bay immediately!” The taller security guard turned his attention from Eyrn and looked at Dr. Geen.
While the taller guard’s attention was momentarily distracted, Eyrn took advantage of her sliver of a window. Quickly she sat back and braced both feet against the hostage nurse’s back. Using much more strength than she ever realized she had, she kicked the stranger swiftly towards the shorter guard.
Aided by the gravity altering implants, her swift kick propelled the Titaness with shocking effectiveness. The shorter guard lowered his weapon and braced himself to receive the Titan turned projectile. Hardly having the time to shout for assistance before the nurse was upon him, knocking him to the floor under her weight.
“Kaleor!” He shouted to his companion, who turned his attention from the doctor in time to receive a swift kick to the sternum. With relative ease, and surprising altitude — even to her –, Eyrn followed her chest kick with a hard side-footed kick to the side of the man’s head. Using his own chest for leverage with her grounded foot.
The soldier collapsed like a house of cards on the floor, and Eyrn landed beside him, bracing her decent with her hands.
“Oh dear me!” Dr. Geen backed up even further, spreading his long slender digits against the wall, attempting to back up even further.
Eyrn wasted no time and sprinted across the strange room, kicking the weapon away from the shorter man, who was scrambling to reach it under the weight of the terrified panicking nurse.
“Open the door! Now!” Eyrn screamed, delivering a swift kick to downed officer, forcing him to collapse in pain once more.
“Oh dear me…by the great ocean, don’t hurt me!” Dr. Geen spoke, adjusting his vocalizer to a more fitting tone. “I’m only a doctor, I mean you no harm!” Dr. Geen’s prominent black eyes blinked rapidly as he tilted his head from side to side, displaying his hands in a submissive manner before him, palms flat and presented outward.
“I can’t understand you! Speak English!” Eyrn demanded.
The shorter security officer managed to get to his feet as Eyrn was distracted by the Dr, and made a bull rush for her.
“Oh! Be careful! You can’t roughhouse in here! This is a medical bay!” The amphibian quickly scurried across the lab, furthering the distance between himself and the ensuing chaos.
Eyrn turned in time to see the whites of the man’s eyes as he latched onto her with his arms and attempted to tackle her to the floor. Taken by his clear size advantage she fell backward, taking him down with her in the process. They both fell hard, the larger man atop her, reaching for her arms so he could pin her down.
“I think we’ve had just about enough of….” The man’s words were cut off and his face distorted into a pained expression, his eyes rolled upward and right away he groaned in pain. Eryn had taken her knee and jerked it upward as hard as she could square in his groin. The unfortunate security officer keeled over, clutching his privates with his hands moaning to himself as Eyrn leapt to her feet.
Eyrn had little time to savor the sweet justice of her victory, as the alien sound of the sliding doors opening snapped her attention briskly towards the med bay doors.
“Oh now what!” Eyrn moaned as she stood in a combat-ready position over her latest victim. Her chocolate brown eyes locked on the open door. Her composure was completely gone; she was on high alert, breathing heavy, near panting, and her headache felt a great deal worse from the impact with the hard, glossy flooring. Eyrn’s shoulder-length, dark brown hair was frizzed and a mess, sticking to the sides of her face from the beads of sweat dripping down her. Her skin was flush and her shirt torn from the recent attack on her person. Not to mention the long cut in her pants from pocket to ankle from Darren’s little escapade.
She felt a terrible ringing in her ears to go along with the gripping nausea she could not seem to shake. Her whole center of balance felt off, it was as if she was a great deal lighter than she had ever felt before, almost as if she was underwater and buoyant…only without the water.
“Shot in the hand eh? Well congratulations Lemm, you are the first Titan in Archavian history to be shot by a human-being!” Aerty chuckled as he exited the elevator to the ship’s 5th deck.
Captain Bass had met Commander Lemm half way as she too was heading towards the infirmary. Along the way she had explained to him the chaotic scene that had transpired in the science lab. Much to Aerty’s dismay.
“I’ll try to cherish this moment, Sir.” Lemm responded plainly as she continued to grasp her hand at the wrist. The impact points were difficult to see, but the foreign objects were an irritant and had caused her hand to turn red in places near the impact points. She was bleeding but only a minute bit, no more than a small pin prick from a fine needle.
“I had hoped this would be a clean evac Lemm…this troubles me more than you know.” Aertimus let out a deep sigh as he made his way down the long corridor towards the infirmary. “Are you sure there are only two?” Aerty asked, his soft eyes looked deeply resourceful.
“Two indigenous reported sir, both male.” Lemm took long purposeful stride keeping slightly ahead of Captain Bass who had to walk a bit faster to keep up with her.
“I’m gonna hear it for sure you realize.” Aerty sighed. “Nialls gonna be pretty livid and hells my sister will never let me hear the end of it either!” Captain Bass let out a hearty laugh for a moment, despite the great deal of concern he felt for the two unfortunate casualties of their mission
Both Titan’s stopped as they reached the door, and a female voice prompted them upon arrival.
“Medical Bay 2 in use…class 1 restricted access only…please state authorization….”
“Aertimus Bass Tango Alpha Zeta.” Captain Bass spoke as he pressed the small green access button.
“Access granted…welcome to Med Bay 2 Captain Bass.” The polite voice chimed in as the doors slid open.
“I’m sure he will get over it.” Lemm stated dryly, her sense of humor was even less than it normally was, which wasn’t saying a whole lot.
Captain Bass stepped into the room first, with Lemm close behind.
“Afternoon Dr. Geen, how goes our….” Captain Bass had not managed half his sentence when he was greeted with a blinding kick to the face that left his ears ringing and his vision blurred.
“Captain!” Commander Lemm said, reaching out and bracing the Captain against herself, preventing him from falling limp to the ground. Her eyes darted around quickly until they locked on the cause of the abrupt assault.
Eyrn had just landed and was standing ready, her body at an angle and both hands in balled fists in a fighting stance before her. Her eyes locked on the imposing form of Commander Lemm, easily the biggest person she had ever seen…or could have ever imagined!
“Aww shit….” Eyrn whimpered, taking a back step to put some distance between her and the Amazonian Lemm.
“Aertimus, are you ok?!” Lemm, said, shooting Eyrn an angry glare. She kept her eyes locked on the petite woman as she rubbed the Captain’s shoulders and gave him a bit of a shake. “Are you ok?”
“W…ho…eh…the hell…did I get hit by an iron support beam…?” Aerty groaned as he struggled to hold up his own weight, his vision was blurred and his face stung from the sharp impact.
Commander Lemm righted Captain Bass and held her hands on his shoulder, forcing him to look at her. He still looked a little out of it but for the most part appeared to have avoided major injury. His nose was bleeding, and he had a large red mark across his face which was likely to leave one heck of a bruise. But he was alive and otherwise unbroken.
“Stay here Cap, I’ll handle this!” Commander Lemm set Captain Bass leaning against the infirmary wall and set off towards the small Titan before her.
Eyrn kept her eyes focused on the much taller woman as she slowly approached, she had a coy grin in her face and stood with her arms crossed, confident that Eyrn was not so much as a threat to warrant standing in a combat ready position.
“Alright kid…I think we better settle down before someone gets…hurt?” Lemm almost choked on her own words as she examined the carnage left in the small woman’s wake. One security officer was lying in a crumpled heap on the ground, while another was groaning while holding his crotch. A nurse was cowering against the wall and Dr. Geen was nervously checking on any number of tubes, instruments and supply tray’s to make sure everything was all right — and to avoid provoking the angry woman.
“What in a naked singularity happened here!?” Lemm’s eyes went wide as she looked about, finally settling on Eyrn, who looked like a cornered Numean Terg.
“Wait…I can understand you…you speak English?” Eyrn spoke quickly, stepping back without dropping her guard.
“I speak whatever you need me to speak.” Lemm responded as she attempted to close in the distance between them. While she could understand everything the woman was saying, she was quite aware it was only because of her universal mark II translator. It was a strange feeling that took a while to get use to…but you could always tell when it was natural and when it was the translator…it just felt different.
“I demand to know where I am! Why have you taken me here!” Eyrn spat out defiantly. She had no desire to fight the brute of a woman, at rough glance Eyrn figured the top of her head wouldn’t even match up with the underside of the woman’s breasts! Not to mention her thick arms, defined abs and long muscular legs. It was enough to send Eyrn into a panic, had she not been so stubbornly irrational.
“I am under no obligation to answer the questions of a criminal terrorist!” Lemm spoke with a confident arrogance in her voice, her words dripped out slowly like molasses as she continued to close the gap between them.
“What have I done wrong!” Eyrn screamed, tears began to well up in her eyes, all of this, it was just to much.
“You know very well what you’ve done poacher! You were caught in CLEAR violation of the Terrain conservation act! Along with being in possession of counter ban indigenous human beings, not to mention the acquisition AND use of illegal dark matter technology!” Lemm’s voice rang loud and clear throughout the thick walls of the infirmary.
“I don’t even know what you’re talking about!” Eyrn’s voice took on a more pleading tone as she found herself backed against a wall.
Commander Lemm cracked her knuckles with a feral grin. “You have two choices dear…you can surrender and submit yourself to the waiting courts.” Lemm’s fists snapped into a combat ready position, she stood ready to pounce at any moment. “Or…and I really hope you choose this by the way…or you can resist…and let me take you down…personally!”
Darren reached out and smacked Private Reese Jones across the back of his head. He was naked down to his boxers, yet still carried with him a ferocity and dignity that even nudity could not take away. Not that he had anything to be bashful about. Master Sergeant Darren Avery was well-built, with a strong athletic frame, well defined abdominal muscles, and prominent upper arm strength. His chest was matted with thick black hair like a grizzly bear, and his skin an even, dark tan all the way over.
“Oww!” Private Jones whimpered as he backed away from the angry Sergeant. “What was that for!?” Reese protested.
“What was that for?” Darren mocked; his voice still angry as he mocked Reese’s whimpering sniveling. “Gat’danger Reese do you got any idea’r what the hell you just did!” Darren’s eyes were red, and one may have sworn there was smoke coming from his ears.
“I couldn’t help it…I mean…I panicked and…God, they’re all so big Sarge!” Reese stammered as he looked around. The only ones still around were the Science officer Dayun, and the dark skinned woman clad in blue gloves hovering over them.
Derna watched the two with mild amusement as they bickered back and forth. Her eyes set on Dayun as he approached form the other end of the table.
“Alright! The human implant devices are ready! Soon we will be able to have a real conversation with these two!” he spoke with eager delight.
Derna laughed as she continued to adjust the chemical mixture in the large silvery tub before her. It had to be just right, to much and she could scald the skin from their bones, to little and dangerous pathogens might survive, causing a disaster of pandemic proportions.
“Dayun, it’s like you’ve never seen a human before.” Derna chuckled, her eyes moving down to Darren, who had yet to remove his undergarments.
“Ah’swear Reese if yew cause global war between and these giant bastards ammna kick yer ever luv’en…” Darren paused, the distinct feeling of eyes looking through him caused him to turn and meet Derna’s glance.
“I need you to take those off too sweetie.” Derna’s tone was gentle but commanding as she pointed to the small human’s undergarment. She crouched down a little so her head was level with the table, she wanted to seem as non-threatening as she possibly could.
“I think she wants you too…” Reese began.
“Ah damn well know wut’t’hell she wants me to do ya’!” Darren grumbled, swatting Private Jones across the back of the head once more.
“OWW!” Reese whined as he rubbed his head.
Darren turned back to face the giantess, rubbing the back of his neck as he did so. “Ya know…this ain’t ma’ first rodeo’er nothing lady…but I really dun thinks this is first meet’n behavior….” Darren let out a nervous laugh as the gloved giantess eyed his boxers with a determined grin across her face.
“I don’t thinks she’s gonna take no for an answer sir.” Reese spoke up.
“Shaddap you! And drop the ‘sir,’ I work for a livin’.” Darren cursed, turning back to face Derna. This was going to be an interesting experience
