The next day things seem to have settled somewhat. Naskia got up and followed her normal morning routine of showering, putting on her makeup and then spending nearly an hour drying, straightening, brushing and pinning her hair before making the Humans food and leaving for class.
Niall and Nonah had both decided to take the day off work. Nonah wanted to look through a dress catalogue Naskia had put on to Niall’s pad for her and pick out ones she liked for Naskia to make. Nonah had made it perfectly clear that the dresses would buy her silence and nothing more. She wouldn’t forgive Naskia. That was going to take time and effort. It had left a somewhat awkward feeling between the three and there had been very little conversation outside of dresses.
Niall had spent most of the day trying to distract himself from what he felt was still a tenuous situation. If Naskia even mildly upset Nonah again or if Nonah couldn’t keep her end of the deal he could be finished. He’d been unable to switch off his mind so he had spent the day running, climbing and leaping from object to object. He had taken more risks than he usually would have as he tried to push the niggle about his future to the back of his mind.
Niall has eventually fallen asleep in his girlfriend’s sock on the floor of the terrarium. Nonah was fast asleep in Niall’s bed still wearing her new dress which she never ever wanted to take off. Niall was dreaming, a nice dream for a change. He was home, sitting in the warm sun enjoying a pint in the beer garden of his favourite pub. He was just sitting looking around him smiling to himself, watching the normal sized people talk, smoke and drink the afternoon away. He felt a rush of warmth and he drunk in the familiar sight of the rolling green hills that surrounded his city and were always present throughout his childhood.
Niall stirred. He was moving. He opened his eyes expecting to see Naskia but something was different. He was wrapped tightly in a large hand. He was quickly deposited into a large dark space. He scrambled to his feet. He couldn’t see anything it was so dark.
“Naskia!” he called out but she didn’t respond.
“Niall?” a little voice squeaked back.
There was loud zipping noise above him.
Niall’s eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness. He could make out the huddled form of Nonah a few feet away. Niall pushed himself over to her but the world started to shake. His blood rushed to his feet as he felt himself being lifted and Niall rolled towards Nonah as the floor tilted.
“What’s going on?” Niall asked her as he righted himself.
“I…I…dunno. I woke up here. Is this Naskia’s bag? It’s not Loona’s.” She replied sounding scared.
“No it’s not. I woke up in a hand, a big hand. It might have been male.” Niall said standing and bracing himself against the wall.
Nonah made a whimpering noise and huddled her legs into her chest. She didn’t like Titan men; they looked at her funny and had always poked and prodded her when they handled her in the pet shop. She was so happy when Loona bought her. Niall was walking around the wall pressing its surface. It felt like cardboard. He was searching for any way out; he found none. He pounded the walls looking for any weakness, to get any attention but it was no use.
They were bounced about in the dark for about 10 minutes. Niall had huddled up with Nonah. He told himself it was to comfort her, to make her feel protected but he was just as scared as she was. They felt a bang and things moving and the bag unzipped. The felt themselves fall to the floor as the box was lifted. Niall and Nonah looked up in anticipation of seeing the face of their captor.
The edge of box tilted up and a nozzle appeared. Niall and Nonah were sprayed with a gas and the lid slammed shut. Niall and Nonah coughed repeatedly trying not to breathe in the noxious but they had no choice, they had to breathe. Niall felt his lungs and throat stinging. He tried to force himself to stay awake but he felt consciousness slowly drift away from him. Nonah had already collapsed and Niall crawled over to her. He passed out just as reached her and his head slumped down on her side.
Niall’s eyes shot open. He clutched his head, it was aching. His vision was blurred and he looked blinked; it slowly improved. Nonah was lying beside him. He gently rocked her awake. Nonah sat up and clutched her head as well.
“What…what…happened?” she creaks. Her throat was coarse from the gas.
“We were gassed.” Niall said. Something on his back was hurting. He reached round and felt a sore patch just below his right shoulder. “What the hell?”
“Ahhh you’re awake.” A loud male voice said.
Nonah latched on to Niall as they heard footsteps and a face came into view.
A long, thin male face, pasty and pale, this person obviously didn’t spend a lot of time in the light. His cheeks were sunken and he had dark hair. He looked very creepy. Niall did not like the look of him at all.
“Who the hell are you?” He demanded.
“Watch it. I need you alive but not necessarily unhurt. I’m Dorok. We have some….mutual acquaintances.” He said.
“Kiri?” Niall asked assuming the worst.
“Yes. I’m friends with Naskia and Loona too.” Dorok said sitting at the desk looming over them.
Niall had heard Dorok mentioned a few times. Naskia did not like him. She found him creepy and would turn up at odd times and hassle her about going out on a date with him. She definitely would not call him a friend. Niall’s mind concocted a few choice words for Dorok but he decided they would be unwise. He had more than just himself to worry about. Nonah was trying to hide away in the corner.
“What do you want with us? Did Kiri put you up to this?” Niall demanded.
“Not exactly…she intimated that she would do a lot to get a hold of you. I want to see just exactly how far that statement goes.” Dorok grinned.
“What are you talking about?” Niall said. He sensed this was about more than just money.
Dorok stood up and poured the two Humans out of the box on to the table roughly. Niall stood up quickly and checked on Nonah. He looked around. The desk was covered in circuit boards, screens and electronics. The whole room had shelves covered in numerous types of electronics in various states of disrepair. The windows had shutters down and only a sliver of light from the setting sun got through into the murky room and gave everything a distinct orange hue. There a smell of burning in the air.
Dorok walked to the end of the table and activated a device on its edge. It had a multiple lenses dotted over its face and a built in control screen. Niall estimated him to be about 140 feet tall. He was thin and seemed to lack muscle but he would be easily strong enough to overpower Naskia or Loona in a confrontation, probably both.
“I hear you’re a fan of holographics, what do you think of my work?” Dorok said pressing a few buttons.
The air shimmered as the projector whirred to life and a full sized image of Kiri appeared. She was standing still and expressionless, completely naked. It was now obvious what he wanted. Dorok stood nearly a head taller than the image of Kiri.
“She’s a nice prize isn’t she?” Dorok said staring eerily at the naked projection.
“I doubt even Kiri would be willing to debase herself that much just to get me.” Niall spat.
Dorok grinned and tapped some more buttons. The image blurred and changed. The tan skin of Kiri was replaced with milky white skin. Dorok ogled the naked form of Naskia for a few seconds.
“And what about her? I’m sure she’d be willing to do anything to get you back.” Dorok grinned menacingly.
Niall studied the projection in front of him. It was Naskia’s face but not her body. Everything about it was wrong; the breasts, curves, stomach were all wrong. It lacked little details like the two moles she had on her side.
“You wouldn’t.” Niall said.
Dorok reached out a hand and cupped a breast of the projection. It moved and responded to his touch. Naskia’s face changed to show pleasure; it had been programmed to react. This was a hard light hologram.
“Mmm, just like the real thing.” Dorok said.
Niall laughed. He wanted to keep his cool but seeing Dorok drooling over and fondling his girlfriend angered him. “You’re one messed up pervert you know that?”
“Oh come on! I’m just a guy. We’re all the same.” Dorok said.
“I’m nothing like you. And what are you going to do when Naskia realises I’m gone? She’ll track me straight here.” Niall said hoping to talk some sense into him.
“I’m not an idiot. I used a high energy pulse to fry your chips. No one is tracking you anywhere.” Dorok grinned pleased with himself.
Niall reached round and felt the burn on this back realising what it was.
Dorok turned off the holoprojector and picked up a pad. “This is the only transmitting device operational in this room so don’t think you can try to contact anyone. You can’t. “
Dorok activated the pad and called Kiri. Her face appeared on the screen.
“Hey Dorok, what’s up?” she said.
“Can you come over to mine? I’ve got something you will REALLY want to see!” He said.
“Ehhh what is it?” she asked.
“Can’t say online but just come over ok?” Dorok said not wanting to risk leaving any evidence in a recording.
“I’ve class in 5 minutes. I’ll be over after; will you be at home still?” Kiri asked.
“Yeah sure I’ll see you then.”
“Bye Dorok.” Kiri said ending the transmission.
Dorok carefully placed the pad on a high shelf out of the way.
“Well guess I’m all warmed up with no one to help cool me off.” Dorok said creepily eying Nonah.
Niall had done a good job of keeping Dorok focused on him but from the sound of his voice that was about to change.
“Girl! Stand up.” He commanded.
Nonah hauled herself to her feet keeping her eyes glued to the floor. Niall moved to put himself between Dorok and Nonah.
“Leave her alone Dorok.” Niall commanded mustering the most authoritative tone he could.
“Whoa, you can’t have all the women, Naskia and now her? That’s just greedy. What about the rest of us?” Dorok said sitting in front of them placing his hands 20 feet either side of them reinforcing the fact there was nowhere for them to go.
Nonah went to step in front of Niall but he put his arm up and blocked her.
“Whoa whoa! Let her make her own choices!” Dorok said. He was clearly toying with them but he lacked the sinister edge Kiri had. There was just the ever present threat of violence hanging over them.
Nonah leaned up and whispered into Niall’s ear. “Niall don’t be stupid. He’ll kill you and just do what he wants anyway. I can distract him, I know how to. This is what I was bred to do, to be a toy for Titans. You’re smart, find a way to get help. Please? For me?”
Niall could feel her hand on his shoulder. She was shaking but her voice sounded calm. Nonah was clearly a lot tougher than she looked he thought. She placed a hand on his and slowly lowered his arm to his side. She stepped passed him and leaned up and kissed him on his cheek.
“I’ll be ok. Promise.” She said stepping forward in front of Niall.
Niall walked back and sat facing sideways. He started visually examining items of the desk to see if there was anything he could use to get a signal out trying to tune out what was going to happen in the background.
“That’s a very pretty dress…take it off.” Dorok commanded her.
Nonah untied the cloth belt from around her waist and pulled her dress over her head and dropped it. She set her arms by her side and stood still. Dorok lowered eyes to be in line with her and studied her carefully, liking what he saw.
“Turn around.” He said when he was finished with her front.
Nonah complied and Dorok continued to study her. This felt exactly like when she was being examined and priced by the pet shop owner who sold her to Loona.
Dorok’s eyes widened. The tiny girl was amazing. Everything about her was nearly perfect; toned, flat stomach, pert large breasts, a delicate line that ran in to her waist and gently curved out to her hips, her supple ass with the perfect lip that went to long well-toned legs. She would have been perfect if she were Titan sized. He got excited as he had an idea.
Dorok plucked Nonah up by her waist and and set her at the rear of the holographic projector.
“Stay still…” he said tapping at a screen on the side of the projector. A beam shot from a lens on the rear of the projector and a flat image of Nonah appeared on the control panel.
“Turn in a circle….slowly….” Dorok continued pressing buttons.
Dorok ordered Nonah to stop after several complete rotations. He tapped the screen a few times and then a holographic image of Nonah appeared, nearly as tall as Dorok. He started circling the projection, touching it and caressing it.
Niall’s eyes could not help but be drawn to the giant image of Nonah. Her beauty was magnified by her enormous size. She really was perfect in every way. He shook the thought from his head and reminded himself of just how serious their situation was and then he had an idea.
“That could work…maybe…” He thought to himself.
Dorok switched off the projection having thoroughly tested the image and ordered Nonah back out to the front of the desk.
“I never considered getting a Human woman before but you are amazing. I was going to give you to Kiri but I might keep you for myself.” Dorok grinned.
“Yes master.” Nonah said flatly as she had been taught to do.
“Why didn’t I do this sooner?” Dorok thought to himself. “She’s hot, obeys my every command and calls me master, unlike all the other uptight girls around here.”
Dorok reached out with a finger as long as Nonah and stroked her soft stomach. Nonah wanted to flinch but she forced herself not to. Dorok slowly worked his way up to her chest. Nonah had been completely still up until this point, almost rigid. She knew if Niall was to get a chance to look around Dorok would have to forget about the rest of the world completely. She bent her head down and licked the top of his finger. It tasted bitter, like metal.
“Awww, you like that don’t you little girl?” Dorok said managing to be creepy even when he was trying to show affection.
Nonah ran her hands over the top of his finger and grabbed on. She then used her strong stomach muscles to pull herself up and wrap her legs around his finger.
Dorok focused on the little woman wrapped around his finger. His pulse quickened as he pictured Nonah wrapping her beautiful form around other parts of his body. He stood up and walked to his bed; he didn’t take his eyes off Nonah the whole time. She was looking straight back at him with a smirk on his face. Dorok assumed the smirk was one of enjoyment when she was in fact thinking to herself that Dorok was an idiot.
Dorok lay down on his back and set the girl down on the bed. He removed his trousers and told Nonah to get to entertain him.
Niall heard Dorok unzip his trousers and got up. He should have a few minutes uninterrupted to look around. He walked up to various circuit boards and examined them quickly.
“Damn…” he said not finding anything that could potentially be used as a transmitter. “Looks like plan B may be the only option.”
Niall approached the holographic projector and started to examine the interface. It seemed to be constructed from a similar screen to the one his pad used. He trawled through layer after layer of the projector’s control code. It seemed to have been custom built and programmed by Dorok. The hard light layer seemed to be the most complex. Niall tried to focus but found himself looking around every now and again hearing squeaks coming from Nonah.
Niall gritted his teeth and took deep breathes trying to keep focused. Nonah did not seem to be in danger but it was obviously not pleasant for her. Niall could feel his blood starting to boil; he clenched his eyes together for a few seconds trying to refocus his mind on the task at hand. This was the most important thing. If he failed here Nonah would have to endure this humiliation again and again and again. Niall would not allow that to happen.
“Shit…no control code….” Niall cursed. Without that there would be no way to control a hard light hologram. Niall got to work. He could still remember the majority of the code had used for the holosuite program which looked to be compatible with the projector but it would still take hours to code and compile. It was time he didn’t have. It would only be a few hours before Kiri arrived.
“Kiri….” Niall’s brain reminded him. This wasn’t just for Nonah’s sake he was doing this but for his own. Every nightmare, every terrifying vision he’d had of Kiri was now playing in his mind over and over. He tried to shake off the image of Kiri’s massive mouth closing around him but his brain wouldn’t let him. He could hear his heart beating in his ears and his hands were starting to tremble.
“Stop it you fool!” he said to himself trying to force his mind back to the task at hand. He couldn’t waste time being afraid. He had to finish this. He had no choice.
Niall pressed on writing line after line of code. He lost track of time and was eventually snapped out of his trance by movement in his periphery. It was Nonah slowly walking over to him. She sat down on the floor a few feet from Niall without saying a word.
“Nonah…are you ok?” Niall said walking over to her.
Nonah didn’t reply. She just stared into space. All of her life she was told by the Humans who raised her and the Titans who ran the farm where she was bred. She had accepted her life and worked to ensure she’d end up with an owner who would be nice to her rather than a stinky male Titan. She hated it when the male farm owners played with her. They were rough and uncaring with her. She’d thought those days were long behind her, Loona always treated her well, Naskia had treated her as an equal up until the day before and Niall always treated her with respect. Suddenly being thrown back to being treated as a plaything made her feel numb inside.
“Nonah?” Niall said bending down and placing his hand on Nonah’s shoulder.
Nonah jumped back violently. “Don’t touch me…please…just get us out of here.”
Niall took a few steps back. He was shocked at Nonah’s reaction. It was clear the events of the last few days were taking their toll. “What about Dorok?”
“Asleep…I spent 10 minutes just crawling out of his sweaty hand.” Nonah said without turning her head.
Niall turned back to the pad and started to code again. “How did you get back here?”
Nonah pointed to the end of the table. “There’s a chord over there. Climbed it from the floor. How are you gonna get us out of here?”
“We need his pad. I’m going to make it so I can control a hologram of me and pick the pad off the shelf and call Naskia. I’ll protect you until she comes to get us. He looks like he’d be smaller and weaker than me when I’m Titan sized. I don’t think he’ll risk attacking me.” Niall explained.
“Good. If you get the chance punch him for me. Hard.” Nonah said with a disturbing coolness in her voice.
Niall was concerned. “Nonah…did he…?”
“Everything but. Just please get me of here. I will not stay here…no matter what.” Nonah said.
“Ok…I’m going to work on this. I zone out when I’m working so just tell me if you need me or Dorok moves ok?”
Nonah nodded and just stayed still. She didn’t even try to retrieve her dress. She didn’t care anymore. She just wanted to go home, she just wanted to curl up in Loona’s safe, warm palm and sleep for years.
Niall kept working. He was rushing as fast as he could. It took a couple more hours to finish writing the code out but eventually he completed it and activated the program. It didn’t work.
“Damn it.” Niall said punching the screen.
He spent another hour going through the code correcting the errors. He still had another 5% of the code to get through when the door chimed.
“Shit!” Niall yelled. Every hair on his body started to stand on end, his heart pounded in his chest and he felt his senses tingle as the adrenaline surged through him.
Dorok got up and walked passed them and out the bedroom door.
“Nonah…go hide. They don’t know where you are.” Niall said to her with fear clearly evident in his voice.
Nonah walked up behind him. She could see his arms trembling by his side. “I’m not going to leave you Niall….”
Niall turned and stared at her. His eyes were wide, the whites clearly visible. “Hide Nonah! Get out of here! Go!”
Niall pushed her. She didn’t move. He pushed her again and screamed. “Go!”
Nonah took off running towards a pile of circuit boards just as the door opened. Dorok came through the door followed by a sight that made Niall’s blood run cold. He wanted to run but his legs wouldn’t work. He was frozen to the spot afraid that any movement could draw attention to him.
“So what is it you wanted to show me?” Kiri said to Dorok.
Dorok smiled and pointed to Niall on the table. Kiri followed his finger down to the table and spotted Niall. She did a double take not sure if what she was seeing was real. Kiri slowly walked to the table and dropped to her knees. She brought her eyes level with the table top and gripped the edge of the table for balance. She focused on Niall, smiling maliciously. Niall tried to control his fear but he could feel it building up, getting more and more powerful.
Kiri just watched him for a minute without saying anything. Her eyes glowed brightly showing just how happy she was to see him. “Hi Niall…did you miss me? I’ve been just dying to see you again.”
