Aertimus Bass

Capt. Bass rose quickly through the ranks of the Imperial Military, rising to senior crewman level by the age of 26. At 28, he served as operations officer on the Gyfjon, and at 29, he was named executive officer on theTroji. When he was named captain of the Gyfjon in 2099, he became the youngest officer to reach the rank of Captain since Hova Begeascy in 1922 MA.
Lemm Tam

Cmdr. Lemm graduated from the Hoplite military training program at 16, and joined the Space Exploration Corps as a Junior Crewmate First Class. She was initially assigned to the Kuklopes class Starship Martyaxvar, where she served as a security officer. She was promoted to acting chief of security at age 18 after an incident in which she saved the life of her captain, Fatei Gotab.
At age 20, she was promoted to security chief on the Minatar, and at 21, she was moved to security chief and operations officer on the Gyfjon. At 23, she was promoted to be the Gyfjon’s executive officer, the youngest executive officer ever to serve during peacetime.
Jono Dermish
Position: Chief of Astrogation and Operations Officer

Crewmate Demish graduated from the Academy at 20 and served on the Star Carrier Xifos as a relief astrogator. He later filled in as a shuttle pilot, before being transferred at age 23 to serve as an astrogator for theGyfjon. He was promoted to Chief Astrogator in 2100, and operations officer in 2101.
Geoff Geen

Geen attended the Great Ocean Science Council medical training facility in 2082, graduating as a physician in 2087. He worked as a surgeon for a few years, before deciding that he was interested in seeing the Empire beyond Great Ocean itself.
In 2091, Geen enrolled in the Academy’s program for physicians, graduating in 2093 with honors. He served on the Troji and the Granav before, in 2098, being promoted to serve on the Gyfjon under Capt. Aertimus Bass.
Engine-Fixer

Engine-Fixer was born in 2100 on Homeworld-of-the-People. She was the daughter of a male physician and a female chemist. Engine-Fixer was fascinated by machinery early in her life, and developed a working warp engine as a school project. She studied engineering in School-in-The-Place-Where-Decisions-Are-Made, and after passing her doctoral certification, she was accepted at the Imperial Military Academy as a cadet.
Engine-Fixer graduated with honors, and was assigned as a deputy engineer on the ISS Gazdrafretes, before being transferred to the ISS Piim Thar. She was named deputy chief engineer on the Piim Thar before being transferred to the Gyfjon to serve as its chief engineer in 2102.
Jax Tornen

Jax Tornen graduated from the academy in 2096 MA , and served on the Troji and the Martyaxvar as a communications officer before being transferred to the Gyfjon in 2101 to serve as its chief of communications.
Dayun Pir

Dayun Pir is the rare Hoplite who straddles two different disciplines; while trained as a xenobiologist as part of the Pir caste, he took a sabbatical from teaching to become a science officer in the Imperial Navy. He has risen to serve as chief science officer on the Gyfjon, after serving on the Kuklopes, Aspis, and Tez Magilna.

Falesial Gausi

Gausi graduated from the academy in 2081 with a concentration in xenolinguistics. During the last 21 years, he has served on a number of ships, including the Martyaxvar, the Teleum, the Nomel Xedusa, and most recently, the Gyfjon, where he was the ship’s lone linguistics officer until the arrival of Junior Crewmate Gwenn.
Mija Haedta

Mija was born to Kharaes and Sintja Haedta in 2076. She was congenitally blind a birth due to an immunological disorder, which also made it impractical for her to be given stem-cloned eyes. Instead, she was fitted with ocular implants, which allowed her to see. She excelled in mathematics and athletics, and earned a master’s fifth-level ranking in Tornka, the Jotunn martial art. She was admitted to the Academy in 2092. She captained the Academy Veeball team, and graduated with a focus on ship security.
Lauryna Gwenn

Lauryna Gwenn went into the Academy straight out of high school, and graduated with honors. Her first billet was as a junior xenolinguist and general junior officer aboard the Gyfjon. On her very first mission, she detained a human who had been brought aboard the ship inadvertently, unfortunately preventing that human from ever returning home. Lucky for Lauryna, that human was the forgiving sort.
Izzy Ibanez

Ibanez was born in the small town of Saul Ste. Marie in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. She joined the Army, and served one tour of duty in Iraq. She was later assigned to the 4th Military Information Support Group, 8th Battalion, Black-2 Company, 1st Squad, operating out of Groom Lake Air Force Base, where she guarded a high-value detainee named Eyrn Fitzgerald.
In late 2013, Eyrn was involved in an exercise near the base, when she was abducted by the Gyfjon. Izzy, Darren Avery, and Reese Jones were on Eyrn’s person at the time, and all were captured as well. During examination, Izzy escaped, and was discovered by JC3C Lauryna Gwenn, a xenolinguist on the ship.
Darren and Reese were both offered the opportunity to return to Earth by Capt. Bass, an offer he would have extended to Izzy as well, had he known she was aboard. Discovering this too late, Lauryna offered to try to return Izzy on her own, breaching the Earth Restriction Zone and sacrificing her career. However, she was talked out of this by Bass and Lemm Tam, the Gyfjon’s first officer
